Emma was born Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson in 1990, to parents Chris Watson and Jaqueline Luesbry They would later go on to have a son, Emma's brother Alex Watson. Emma moved to England when she was 5 years old, and after doing some plays in primary school, got her big break when she was asked to audition for the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. She won the role and would later go on to play the role in all the films up until 2011, when she wrapped on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. In 2004, Emma considered quitting the role in fear of been typecast, however, she decided the role and character was so important to her she continued til the end where she gave an emotional speech at the films last premiere.

During her time on the Potter series, Emma also had a few minor roles, in small productions, such as Ballet Shoes, in which she played Pauline Fossil and The Tale of Desperaux in which she played Princess Pea in the animated film. She also did a modelling with People Tree, where she designed a collection for the brand in order to help other countries. She also enrolled at university in 2009, to study English Literature, at Brown Univeristy, and then at Oxford in London where she is from. 2009 also saw her model for Burberry throughout 2009 - 2010, and also released her final collection for People Tree and became an embassador for Lacome, up until 2013. After the Potter series, Emma went on to play Nicki in The Bling Ring, and herself in a cameo in the comedy This Is the End.

She is currently due to finish her course at university, and will start promotions for Noah, in which she plays Noah's daughter Ila.
